From the Bout of Books blog:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 7.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Time Devoted to Reading
While I have time this week, I’m not going to force myself to read ALL week, but instead try and read as the mood strikes! I have a few other things going on, but hopefully I can sneak in a few hours here and there! The name of the game for this Bout of Books is to NOT stress myself out to read ALL the books. I’m taking a much more easy approach and getting done what I get done. NO PRESSURE!
- Read 5 books — finishing the two I’m reading now, and randomly picking the others.
- Participate in at least ONE of the Twitter chats & in some of the challenges.
- Cheer on and chat with my favourite people.
- Take the time to do other things that strike my fancy and NOT stress over getting all the reading done.
- Try and comment on other participants’ start-up posts.
- HAVE FUN!
Books to Read
I just started Sophie Kinsella’s WEDDING NIGHT today, so I’m hoping to finish it, as well as Susan Mallery’s CATCHING PERFECT. There are a few review books in my pile I might read, or I might read something from the library. I’ve decided to let my book choices be what my mood picks. Be prepared for randomness!
Normally, I do a daily update on the blog, but since I’m all about no stress this year, I’m going to do a final update at the end of the read-a-thon. That way I can read more and worry less!
