You voted! Here are the top 10 books I’ll be reading in 2018!

Earlier this month I asked you all to vote on my TBR and tell me what 5 books you thought I should read at the beginning of 2018. I’m so excited to say that I had a lot of votes and picked the top 10 of the books chosen and they will go on my nightstand to be read in January and February.

Here’s what was picked:

  1. The Princess Bride (4 votes) (review)
  2. Malagash (3 votes) (review)
  3. Fahrenheit 451 (3 votes) (review)
  4. Animal Farm (2 votes) (review)
  5. The Shoe on the Roof (2 votes)
  6. Next Year, For Sure (2 votes)
  7. Gone With the Wind (2 votes)
  8. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (2 votes) (review)
  9. Hidden Figures (2 votes)
  10. The Orenda (2 votes)

I’m quite lucky that I could get 10 books out of all the votes – having a TBR of 250+ definitely made it hard for people to pick the same book! I’m looking forward to all of these books and just a little intimidated by Gone With the Wind since it’s huge. But I do think that there’s a really good variety of classics and contemporary, Canadian, and one non-fiction thrown in, so that makes me happy.

I look forward to reporting back to you all on my thoughts!

    1. I have one with an intro from Neil Gaiman … I look forward to reading that afterwards. And it’s not that long of a book, either. I don’t know why I’m waiting!

  1. I surprised myself by DNFing Fahrenheit 451. It seemed like exactly the kind of book I would love! Hopefully you’ll find the love. =)
