About The Blogger

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me! I hope you find some interesting things here.

About Me

My name is Kristilyn. I love to read almost anything and blog my love of books here at Reading In Winter. I also blog about crocheting and other yarn crafts and love to interact with other bloggers like myself!

Things I like:

Winter Days
Farmer’s Markets
Hot coffee on a cold morning
Fuzzy socks
Doctor Who
Kisses from my kiddies
Harry Potter
The feel of grass under my toes
The National
Honeycrisp apples
Silence in the morning
Burt’s Bees Lip Balm
The coming of Fall
Ginger Candies
Patrick Wolf
Super ripe pears

When I’m not reading, I’m usually:

Being a mom! (lots of playing, going places, and mess making. oh, and snuggles and kisses.)

Baking or cooking (I love making cookies … mmm, cookies.)

Catching up on my favourite TV shows (This Is Us, Modern Family, Doctor Who, Heartland) and getting addicted to new ones — or watching my favourites that aren’t on air anymore (Chuck, Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City)

Watching a movie (All-time favourite: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken — and watching Harry Potter and other animated movieswith the kids!)

Listening to music (My current obsession is The National. 6 years and running and they’re still my favourite band.)

Crocheting & other yarn work (I love learning new skills with crochet, as well as learning other yarn things like loom-knitting, knitting, and Tunisian crochet.)

I live in Alberta, Canada with my husband, our two amazing children, and our three dogs and one cat.

  1. If those are your bookcases in the picture I must say that I am in love with them. Very cool and I love the way in which you have them arranged.

  2. Thank you! They’ve moved around quite often (one of my favourite things is re-organizing my books … over and over again), but they’ve never left. I love a good bookshelf!

  3. Hi Kristilyn,

Came over to check out your blog. Very nice. Love your bookshelves. Perhaps I’ll see you at Lois Hole Library tonight. Happy writing!
