About The Blogger

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me! I hope you find some interesting things here.

About Me

My name is Kristilyn. I love to read almost anything and blog my love of books here at Reading In Winter. I really enjoy interacting with other bloggers, authors, and publishers!

Things I like (besides books):Β

Winter Days
Making music
Farmer’s Markets
Hot coffee on a cold morning
Fuzzy socks
Doctor Who
Kisses fromΒ my kiddies
Harry Potter
The feel of grass under my toes
The National
Honeycrisp apples
Silence in the morning
Burt’s Bees Lip Balm
The coming of Fall
Ginger Candies
Patrick Wolf
Super ripe pears

When I’m not reading, I’m usually:

Being a mom! (lots of playing, going places, and mess making. oh, and snuggles and kisses.)

Baking or cooking (I love making cookies … mmm, cookies.)

Catching up on my favourite TV shows (Outlander, Kimmy Schmidt, Modern Family, Doctor Who, Heartland) and getting addicted to new ones (Westworld!) Β — or watching my favourites that aren’t on air anymore (Chuck, Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City)

Watching a movie (All-time favourite: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken — and watching Harry Potter with the kids!)

Playing my piano (Loud, loud, and louder! Wish I could get more of this in these days!)

Listening to music (Way too many favourite artists to name! We have music on ALL DAY LONG.)

Crocheting (I do this more in the winter months. I love making dishcloths!)

I live in Alberta, Canada with my husband, our two amazing children, and our three dogs. I am currently getting my stride back with reading after having kids – I’ve realized it can be done!

  2. Thank you! They’ve moved around quite often (one of my favourite things is re-organizing my books … over and over again), but they’ve never left. I love a good bookshelf!

  3. Hi Kristilyn,

Came over to check out your blog. Very nice. Love your bookshelves. Perhaps I’ll see you at Lois Hole Library tonight. Happy writing!
